Animated Superheroes!

I don't know what it is but I love the animated batman and superman adventures out right now
anyone else
I am hooked to Batman Beyond right now
No I am not 14 and I know the plots leave much to be desired but they are still entertaining..
also I guess they give me my fix since their respective big screen follow-ups seem to be coming to a theater near me at speeds rivaling those of Perry White going up a flight of steps

anyone else like em
I can't be alone......can I?
:p:p*I hope not* :p:p

Yes, I like the animated Batman and Superman. I just don't get to see it very often. Also liked the X-men, and I watch Batman Beyond when I can.

raKim 07-21-01 09:17 AM

Yeah X-Men was great too!
I based most of my notions about the movie off of the cartoon as I never really read the comics!!

Cartoon Network recently dropped Batman and Superman from their schedule, but thankfully they are doing the grandaddy of them all, JUSTICE LEAGUE, with with Bruce timm, who worked on Batman and Superman. Expect it to premire in the late Fall/early Winter.

I'm 23 and I watch Batman Beyond religiously. It's one of my favorite shows on TV. I've also loved watching the animated Superman and Batman shows. I'm not so much into the X-men cartoon, but I can't wait for the JLA one this fall. :)

Yeah, Justice League is one of the few anticipated things for me this Fall. I read an article somewhere (couldnt find it to link) in which they talked about the show. Basically, it'll be the classic lineup, though altered a tad- Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern (a black one not Hal Jordan), and HawkGirl (I guess they needed another female), and Flash. Aquaman will have a two part episode in which he becomes a charter member. Most of the stories are told in two and three parts, making a grander scope than the previous Batman and Superman series, and giving each character a chance to contribute in some way. Timm said he was hoping that many of the stories, not just the first three origin episodes will be shown back to back, like little mini movies.

I'm hoping the new Justice League series will let other obscure or seldom used DC characters pop up as well.

I was blown away when DR. FATE showed up in the Superman series.

I love Batman Beyond, it's one of my favorite animated shows. I like the plots they have and if you look deep enough, they have good morals. i think the show is kinda mature for its rating and compared to the other cartoons on WCIU. It's dark, it has violence, scary lookin' people, and drugs (some of the reasons i like the show).

i like to watch all of the batman, superman shows whenever i have time. unfortunately i don't so i can't.

the powerpuff girls is also a good show. i'll watch that every so often as well

Still haven t read if The Legion of Doom will pop up as an advesary. The Doom crew got a bad rep for awhile, back when I read comics in the late 80's-early 90's, the Legion of Doom was considered a cheesy thing and left out of the comics, but I say its time for a revival. Hell, if Bruce Timm and Co. can make Superman interesting, they can make Gorilla Grod and Solomon Grundy menacing and cool again instead of cornball.

Sounds great but my cable company doesn't carry Cartoon Network. Instead, they carry this crappy thing called Toon Disney.

I'm 25 and I still love Batman: TAS, Superman, Batman Beyond, the short-lived Spider-Man and Spider-Man Unlimited, etc. I used to collect comic books and I keep up on what is going on in comics even though I don't collect them anymore.

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker should be watched by all, whether it be the cut or uncut version. The cut version is a tad bit below Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, but the uncut version vaults it to the top. It is an excellent film and I wish they would have made it longer and put it out in theaters.

Justice League is going to be hellacool. You guys realize every episode is 1 hour long, correct? This isn't a 30 min. cartoon, it's a full hour. I also think it starts in September, possibly October. They have hinted at possible DVD releases of JL as well, although no details have been announced. And Batman: TAS is coming out season by season starting next year. I think Batman is still one of the best American-produced animated television shows post-Transformers made. I was 15 when Batman first premiered I believe.

Oh well, enough gushing about all of these. Keep them coming DC and Marvel.
