This astronomer guy has been on PBS for years and I can't for the life of me think of his name. I believe he's from the Miami something or other.

He wears a Members Only jacket, has a moustache, stands in front of blue screen so he looks like he's in space and is just way too excited about astronomy. I've only seen him on PBS really late at night.

He was on late Sunday night talking about Mars being visable this week.

I give him made props, though, for keeping with that Members Only jacket. He's kicking it old school!

So, what's his name?

I know exactly who you mean. He had/has these little 2 or 3 minute astronomy lessons on PBS every night, talking about that evening's stars...

Found him on google: The Star Hustler -- that was the name of his short astonomy show on every night. His real name's Jack Horkmeier, and it looks like he's still on, although http://www.starhustler.com now refers to a weekly show called The Star Gazer...

Reading on the site: It's definitely the same show, called The Star Gazer these days. You can download the shows or stream them from the site listed above. There's a 60-second show done daily, and a 5-minute show done weekly...

All MEMBER'S ONLY jackets should've been burned by now.

How did we miss his?

He is actually pretty interesting and informative.

At least he's not as arrogant(and dead) as Carl Sagan

Jack Horkheimer rules. I always get really excited when I happen to catch him. Loved him since I was a kid.

No wonder he changed the name of his show. "Star Hustler" sounds like some astronomy/porn/sci-fi show.
