Well, Sorenson was cleared of the homicide, but where the heck is he? Looks like we'll wait until who-knows-when to find out. I heard several months ago that the blond kid from "Saved by the Bell" was joining the cast as a new detective, but now my wife tells me that he is REPLACING Rick Schroeder! That is not good. Can anyone confirm this?

E! News Daily reported that Rick Schroder might be leaving the show. They could not confim this. They did go on to say that Sipowicz will have a new partner next season.
Most likely that Saved by the Bell guy, Mark Gossler something or other.
So who knows what will happen.

Oh you have got to be kidding me... Sipowics has one awful track record when it comes to partners. I'm sorry, but I draw the line at anyone from Saved by the Bell... I hope it's not true. I would rather Andy team up with the new blond cop played by Charlotte Ross ( I really like her BTW ). They're pretty good together. Schroeder has it good on the show. He's broken out of the Silver Spoons persona. What more could he want?
Incidentally, that was one hell of a season finale. I'm glad that they didn't cop out ( no pun intended ) and show Danny at all. It creates a great sense of tension and worry.

That's the one thing that I never liked about the previous female detectives: neither Dianne nor Kirkendall exuded any of that New York grit. But Connie, wow, she's a tough cookie. I mean any girl that doesn't even bat an eye as her male cop partner is beating the sh*t out of two perps is aces in my book. I really, really like her ;-)

I agree, Connie is probably my favorite female character so far. I love it when she does her fake "dumb hot chick" routine (we've seen it at least twice so far). And the fact that she's so easy on the eyes, that helps, too.
I also think the new LT deserves some props, too. I still miss Fancy, but Rodriquez is also very cool.

Now it's Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Who's coming in next, cousin Oliver from "The Brady Bunch"?!?

The hell with that kid from "Saved by the Bell," I think Gary Coleman would be a better replacement.
"What you talkin' 'bout Sipowicz?"

Poor Andy.... he got shot in the very first episode, his son has been killed, one partner screwed up, another died of a heart condition, his second wife was shot to death in front of him, his little kid is plagued with disease... what's left????
