Is PAL B and PAL I compatible? I have some friends in Malaysia and thought it would be cool to send a video letter to them. I know we both use PAL format, but theirs is PAL B while mine is PAL I...anyone know if one will play on the other?

It should be just fine. I don't recall having any problems watching british videos on my tv in Indonesia or Indonesian videos on an old British VCR either. I recall our vcr had a bunch of different pal/ntsc switches, but we never had to use them as far as I can remember.
