The first episode of this show was pretty lame, but I enjoyed the second episode (the execution one).

This past episode with the cat was utter genius.

It totally played off the sitcom convention of a "misunderstanding" spun out of control. But the misunderstanding was so cleverly twisted!

George wants to put the family cat asleep, who is 24 years old and a ball of mange. He's not sure how to break it to Laura. Meanwhile Laura is concerned about why George hasn't gone "downtown" on her since they've been in the White House. And she doesn't know how to talk to him about it. So she overhears George talking about the stinky cat and assumes he's talking about HER stinky "cat". Hilarity ensues.

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. I think this show is finally coming into it's own.

Is anybody still watching?

I loved it when he was douching the cat and was wondering why it wasn't working.

Hmm... interesting. I've felt it's gone downhill in every episode. I was practically rolling on the floor at some points (especially the end) during the first episode... and with this last one, there were some chuckles here and there, but nothing great.

Each episode has obviously exaggerated sitcom conventions, and I love that. But they seem to be getting much, much more predictable, to the point where you can predict the punchlines too much. Not good... oh well, I still have faith in it.

I'm watching the "cat" show right now. Cracking me up.

When he's holding the apparatus and says "you want me to do it?"

I agree totally. It's a bit weird in fact... this past Friday, I told one of my friends almost exactly the same thing. The cat puppet/animatronic was just hilarious. I hope I can get it on tape.
