I felt gyped out of my sopranos weekly fix! Generally I tape the episodes and watch them later in the evening but usually they seem to be a full hour. Is this typical or is this 45 minute episode an anomaly?

On a sadder note, only 3 more Sopranos episodes left

bad thing is that it wasnt even 45 minutes long, it was more like 40 minutes long because it didnt start until 8:05PM for some reason It seems like they ran out of ideas or something when they made this episode, because absolutely nothing happened and all it was was mostly flashbacks.

This wasn't the first episode to run less than the usual 55-60 minutes. I'm not sure if it has ever run as short as 40 before, but it is The Sopranos . Long or short, I can't complain.

I believe the shortest episode that I can remember is when Christopher was put into the hospital last season. I believe that was close to the 40 min. mark. Chances are the season ender will run longer than 1 hour, it has the past 2 seasons if I remember correctly.

I don't care how long the show is, as long as it is a good one. That was a good one - I loved the flashbacks.

Plus what on earth is Jackie Jr thinking getting a lap dance at the Bing??!!

Jackie Jr. is a flipping idiot. Seriously, how stupid can you be to go into a strip club that has people running it that can easily recognize you? Poor Meadow, gets screwed by a guy that isn't interested in her and the people around her and now she gets screwed by a guy that likes to indulge in strippers.

Jackie Jr.'s stupidity will lead him to sleeping with the fishes is my bet.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but I thought they DID NOT go to Bada Bing? When they were in the restaurant and that chicky pissed off Tony, he wanted to leave and mentioned a place...to which Van Zant's character said something about it being a good idea and that he wanted to check out the competition anyway.

I remember this but I would have to watch the episode again to make sure they weren't talking about another restaurant. If it was the Bada Bing, Jackie Jr. is an idiot. If it isn't, I guess he's just in the wrong place at the wrong time...heh. I can't believe the owners would allow Tony to go into the bathroom and beat up Jackie Jr. though. I shall watch again.

You know I think you're right, although it looked almost exactly like the Bing (I guess most strip clubs look alike though). That definitely makes more sense though, so I have to give Jackie Jr credit then.

It wasn't the Bing! When they left the resturant Silvio said "let's check out the competition... there's this new place on 43rd." So they were actualy at another strip club.

I made the same mistake too

Then Jackie Jr. is just in the wrong place at the wrong time like he was at the casino. Poor JJ, I still think he will be sleeping with the fishes soon, but possibly not by Tony's hands.

I doubt he will die since he is Tony's responsibility. I think Tony is going to be all conflicted about this for some episodes to come and Meadow will come to realize on her own that jackie jr is screwed up. Or Joe Pantoliano's character will end up sleeping with the fishes and Jackie jr will straighten out on his own.
On another note, that fish gift at the end was pure brilliant writing. I was sitting there feeling sorry for Tony until it occurred to me that he was the one that killed Big Puss in the first place.

It's not length it's how it's used...

Spoiler:
The flashbacks and pondering of "THE RAT" was great. These guys are seemingly conflicted over his death.

In principle, this could have been a good episode. In its execution, it wasn't one of their better ones. It dragged in spots and felt padded, and worst of all, it was short. It was nice to see Big P*ssy again, however.
