If you mean will the movie itself be good, it isn't TOO bad. The science is of course, like in most movies SF or not, absolutely worthlessly stupid and incorrect. But the "human element" isn't terrible.

If you mean how it will look pan-n-scanned, probably pretty bad. And then you have the commercial breaks. But at least there isn't much in the way of material that would have to be edited out. I still say, though, if you want to enjoy a movie and not just look at it, get the DVD.

You can't go wrong with Morgan Freeman and Robert Duvall.

No. I refuse to watch films on network television. Cut for content and time, you know. Just can't bring myself to watch them.

Saw it in the theatre and caught the first 1/2 hour of it on TV before I exploded. It's an OK movie but commericals stopped me from putting any more time on it.

I saw the movie for the first time on TV on Sunday night. The story was much better than Armaggedon. Maybe I'll get the DVD.

One thing was weird though. At least in the east coast airing, the movied ended at 40 past the hour. What was up with that? Don't most movies end on the hour or on the half hour???

She wanted to save Laura Innes character for two reasons. Because she essientially stole the story from her by hiding what she knew about it when she was her assistant. Also, She wanted to be able to save her Laura Innes' daughter. If she gives up the seat two people are saved, one being a child. If she keeps the seat, only she is saved. Also she didn't want her father to die alone like her mother had to.

The kid couldn't have sat on her Mom's lap?

If the world is about to end I wouldn't have any problem maximizing room on the last chopper out of NYC. If weight was a problem the kid couldnt've been more than 50-60lbs, Tell everyone to dump their coats so a little girl can live.

Well, the child was just one of three reasons I listed. Plus it wasn't NYC, it was DC. You can see the capitol building in the background and they fly right past the washington monument.

spoiler:

they also cut out at least part of the suicide scene

end spoiler.

I wouldn't have watched it other than that I was at a relative's house and we're kinda short of cable there.
