Green screen on PC?

Is there a simple procedure that would take care of a green screen on a PC?

Re: Green screen on PC?

Do you mean using a green screen as a background?

Re: Green screen on PC?

No.

I will be watching a video on YouTube(or whatever) and the screen turns green and flashes.

Doesn't happen all the time but maybe 30 percent of the time.

I keep refreshing the screen and sometimes that does the job and sometimes not.

Just a flickering screen or something? Without knowing any more specifics, I’d say it could be a cable issue. Try swapping out the monitor cable from the computer to monitor. Or it could be the monitor, or the graphics card.

Re: Green screen on PC?

It's either a cable issue (likely) or bad RAM on the video card itself.

If it's a CRT press the degauss button.
Here's a few other things to check, but could easily be a loose or defective cable.

Re: Green screen on PC?

I have a laptop that used to do that, it was a driver issue.

Sounds like a driver issue. Try updating your graphic drivers.

Re: Green screen on PC?

I just got this green screen of death on my Windows 10 Windows insider build:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1p9E...w?usp=drivesdk

it says Stop code: DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL What failed: e1d68x64.sys

It never goes above 0 percent.

edit: now my computer won't even start.

Re: Green screen on PC?

Try reseating your RAM. The device it's complaining about is your network adapter but I'd start with the RAM.
