i think an s20 fe would be a good replacement. It’s currently $350 on payment plan if you have Verizon through Best Buy.

iPhone X...still great condition. Paid off and works perfect. No plans to update any time soon.

Re: What kind of smart phone do you have and are you happy with it?
I'm a long-time user of the Galaxy line, S4, S7, S9 Plus, and I just bought the S21 Ultra 512gb. I got the S9+ when the S7's touchscreen was starting to go (traded it in) and the fingerprint sensor on the S9+ died a few months ago but it wasn't enough to switch but now the GPS died. It won't pull up anything by name, doesn't show the map, a correct ETA, etc. (and I use it a lot). So I decided to bite and trade it in and I got $350 for the trade in. I'm completely satisfied with the line. Got it on Samsung credit and I got the S9+ 3 years ago so I view it as pretty much a monthly fee for using the phone (interest free for four years for the S21, the S9 was paid over 2 years). For me it's a necessity. I have a kid on oxygen, meds, a feeding tube, so I use it pretty much all day every day, for all aspects of life. It has no SD card but the space is four times of what I have accumulated on internal + SD card on the S9+ over the past 3 years. The S4 came out in 2013 and I plan to keep this 4 years so that's about a phone every 3 years. I have a Samsung tablet and a Samsung smartwatch so I'm deep into the ecosystem (and I use them all a lot and very happy with them).

After watching my Samsung S9 bounce down the side of a cliff I ended my relationship with expensive phones. Currently a Moto G Power.

My mom wanted an apple watch so I switched from my beloved Galaxy S10 to an iPhone 12 (we have to be on the same OS so I can troubleshoot for her). It's ok. There are some iOS quirks that I don't love (using face ID during a pandemic is frustrating) but I do like the camera better.

I went back through the past four phones I've had (took a while to find the info).
S4 $347.30 7/21/2013
S7 $460.24 2/23/2016
S9+ $549.30 3/12/18
S21 ultra $1089.74 2/16/2021
7.5 years, $2446.58, average $326.22 per year or $28.19 per month. I've always gotten flagship phones soon after release. And that's without counting the time I'll keep the S21. If I keep it 3 years, it'd be $19.42 a month. I financed the S21 interest free for 3 years.
The S9+ had 64 gigs. I have about another 64 gigs in the SD card. The new phone will have 4 times the space as what I've accumulated in the past 3 years. I always swore I'd never have a phone without an SD card slot or a wired headphone jack and here we are.

I have a very old Samsung SM-G550T. Just brought a Samsung Galaxy A71 5G (Unlocked) from Samsung for $271.30 before taxes & a $50 Samsung credit.
