Another happy plex user here. I like everything about it and the interface even has a decent WAF (wife acceptance factor). I have an XB1S on one TV and an old PS3 on the other.

I get what you're saying zyz, I like to keep it simple too. In my case though I have a home server running 24x7 (currently a 4-year-old i7 NUC) for network shares and backups anyway, so asking it to be a media server too is a no-brainer especially with all the extra functionality Plex brings (the ability to watch one of 250+ episodes of Good Eats anywhere I can get a signal!). I plugged it through my kill-a-watt meter for a while and it only pulls 8 watts at idle (under heavy load I've gotten it to pull over 40 watts).
