Audio discs but no Video discs
 

I have an RCA Model RC5240P DVD player.

What would cause it NOT to play any VIDEO discs (the player displays "Load" then "No Disc")?

The player plays AUDIO discs fine.

Two different lasers in the player. One reads CDs the other reads DVDs. Sounds like the DVD laser has failed.

The Audio discs are Compact Disc digital audio discs

The Video discs are DVD video discs

Where can I buy a DVD laser assembly for my DVD player?

You can try cleaning the lens.

Unless it was an amazing player it would be cheaper and easier to just buy a new DVD or Blu-ray player.

Seriously, for a DVD player from 2001... It's time to let it go. As cultshock said, it's cheaper and easier to just replace it.

Here's what I'd try first:
