ANyone use FB Messenger on PC?

I'm pretty sure not many do, but I occasionally do when I have to use my PC

I've taken notice lately that when someone sends an image through messenger, it takes ages (sometimes 20 seconds) to pop up to have a look. This used to not be an issue. It would normally pop up right away as it does when using the phone app.

Anyone else have this issue?

Mine does that too. Clicking any image takes forever to pop up.

Same here.

What browser/OS are you guys using?

I'm on a Mac (latest OS), using Safari.

WIn10 using the default Edge. But I've tried FF and it does the same.
Glad to see it's not just me.

I only use FB messenger on PC. I don't even have the app installed on my phone. I haven't noticed the issue, but I don't send or receive many images thru messenger.

I haven't seen any slowdown (image or video). Chrome on Windows 10.

I have seen this on Windows 10, in Firefox, on multiple computers. Images load instantly on the app on my phone though.

Yeah I cant figure it out. I even sent in a report to FB and they answered back but it didn't answer my issue. Looks like a robo reply to be honest.
Only thing I can think of is too many images stored like in cache or something?

That may be it. I loaded up a conversation that I know has very few pics, clicked on one and it loaded quickly. Back to another convo that is pic heavy, and still slow.

Re: ANyone use FB Messenger on PC?

Yep. I think you nailed it stingermck . I did the same and I got images to pop right up in a convo that had very few images shared.
Now to find out how to clear the entire convo to clean it out or clear it's cache.
