no cell phone reception at work

my wife has recently moved to a part of the building that gets little to no reception. is there something we can buy to help improve her reception? (she has at&t if that matters at all)

if so, does anyone have any good recommendations? I googled "amplify cell phone signal" and apparently there are a million different gadgets that claim to do the job. anyone ever use any of them?

thanks

Calling and texting over WiFi is an option on AT&T and other carriers.

Yeah, I think WiFi calling is your best bet here. Hopefully there's WiFi in the building?

Are you sure her employer didn't move her because they thought that she was calling/texting on her phone too much at work?

AT&T has the MicroCell, which patches into an internet connection to provide a signal. Her work would likely have to set this up:

Otherwise, there are cell signal boosters, that basically repeat a cell signal. They need to be mounted somewhere where there's still a signal to repeat, so likely not in her office but somewhere else in the building. Again, her work would likely have to set it up:

The bonus for the business to set this up is that all the employees, and any visitors, will potentially benefit.

However, on her own, as long as she gets wifi at work, she can use Wifi Calling with a compatible device:

They don't sell new ones any longer, he'd have to get a used one, but they do still work. It's great for me when I go to the in-laws' house in the middle-of-nowhere Illinois. And you are right, it would have to be setup with the company IT folks.
