Any way to block spam on email (through iPhone)?

all of a sudden i get these spam messages on one of my main email addresses. trouble is i use it only on my phone and on PC it has to go through mail2web.com.

neither has options to block spam so it never shows on my phone. it is an optimum.net account if that helps.

any help would be very appreciated.

Optimum does not offer any type of spam protection on their shitty email service. Your best bet is to use an external email aka Gmail etc

Aw, man. You know it’s only been recent. I use this particular one so sparingly and have no idea how it got out bc I’m so careful. It’s just these constant emails back and forth saying don’t email me anymore. It’s like all these people are getting spam and writing back to each other to stop. I dunno, but it’s over 10/day and it’s getting frustrating. And this one is tied to so much stuff that it would take year and a day to switch stuff over to a new one...

I have a few email accounts split for different things to avoid such an encounter of spam. Especially when it comes to friends online which they don't care much in email chaining your address.

It's best to make separate email accounts for different subjects:

-banks
-stores
-forums
-spam (for sites you don't care much in putting in your address etc)
-friends
-ebay/paypal

That way you don't have an email tied down to so many things in which a spam heist or hack heist will cause you major trouble.

It sounds like an email storm created by a poorly configured mailing list. every reply gets sent to everyone on the list. See if there's an unsubscribe option/link in the emails you're getting. Or it's a bunch of idiots hitting "reply all" to an email with a crapton of email addresses attached, which some spam does.

For handling spam in general, you can download the Gmail app and add your Optimum account to it and "Gmailify" it, which will filter spam on it.

Did it ask you to "Gmailify" the account, and you selected yes?

It will filter out spam while you're viewing your Optimum account in the Gmail app. If you look at your Optimum account some other way, the spam may not be filtered.
