Looking to get away from Gmail

Been thinking of using another email client because Gmail is redundant in gathering so much information about me. I got nothing to fucking hide but the constant "did you sign up with this device" and confirm crap is too annoying. To me it feels like gmail is trying absolutely everything to make sure all actions I'm doing is me. For once I would like some freedom.

I'm thinking about taking all my accounts to bulletmail.org but they are a new system from what I can tell.

What other email client do you recommend? I don't fuck with Yahoo or AOL. I also wouldn't mind paying a small fee for better secured service.

If you had stuck with Gmail it would have told you that you were posting in the wrong forum.

I think there's like a setting you can fix that whole thing with, man. I don't sign into many things that aren't "mine" so I don't mind it giving me a heads up about it.

Re: Looking to get away from Gmail

If privacy is your main concern get an iCloud account, with email.

Outlook.com, from Microsoft, is better than Gmail in the privacy department, but they still collect a lot of data.

I had a change of heart. I tried it again and for some reason it seems much faster now more streamlined. I think they changed the look cause I don't remember it looking this clean.

Re: Looking to get away from Gmail

To be fair, the security features (Device verification, etc; ) are actually one of the few good things that Google does since most people do not enable 2nd factor and devices are easy to compromise.

Protonmail is probably your best bet though.

Here's a review of the top 8 free mail services

Yandex is their top pick, but Protonmail is on the list at #4. It's hard to tell what these a-holes are collecting on us, but I'm assuming all of them are collecting something.

If the service is free, then you are the product.

The bigger email providers - absolutely. I do know that Protonmail is open source so users would know if data was being collected on them.
