Anyone have LIFX wifi color light bulbs?

Was thinking about trying out some of these wifi LED bulbs but I can't seem to find a whole lot of info on specific features. Anyone using them?

Re: Anyone have lifx color light bulbs?

Well, they are having a black friday deal so I bought a few to try out. Was planning to go with Philips Hue, but their bulbs don't do color as well and the system requires a hub.

25% off the second generation bulb Color 1000

That brings the price down from $60 to $45

50% off the LIFX Original

That brings the price down from $60 to $30. This bulb was going for $100 at the beginning of the year, but was replaced a month ago with the Color 1000 line.

I have been using the GE Wifi ($12) ones with a Wink Hub ($49) for a while...I didn't need to change room colors...plus it works great with Amazon Echo

Re: Anyone have lifx color light bulbs?

I bought a Hue Lux kit (2 bulbs + controller hub) for $50 a while back, and have 1 color bulb I use with it.

Reds and Purples look fantastic, most of the Blues just look like normal light (since it's often used as a Hue), Yellow and Orange look good, Green doesn't quite hit the green I'd like.

I heard there are a few issues with the size of the Lifx for some setups, and that the color isn't quite as bold as some of the competitors.
