Help with ATI Video Card problem with Amazon website

I have an ATI HD 4600 video card in an couple year old computer that I hooked up to a TV in my house. I have the latest drivers for the card. Today, every time I go to amazon.com, the Video Drivers crash. If I go a second time, they crash again and I get a BSOD and the computer reboots. This is a fresh install of Win 7 and I've run AVG and Malwarebytes numerous times and found nothing. Any ideas? This is only happening on Amazon, as far as I can tell.

Does it crash regardless of the web browser you're using?

Re: Help with ATI Video Card problem with Amazon website

I use Firefox. I just checked IE on the sme machine and no problems. Also I checked Firefox on my iMac and no problems on that machine so I don't know.

Update:

If I go to an Amazon product page through a Google search it works fine, but when I go to the Amazon home page it crashes.

Re: Help with ATI Video Card problem with Amazon website

The exact same thing started to happen to me today. I think there is an issue with the Amazon website and Firefox, since it occurred on both my work computer and home computer. In both instances, the video card was ATI AMD. And in both cases, there was no issue accessing Amazon using Chrome. But using Firefox to access Amazon would crash the video card.

There was also no issue accessing any other website using Firefox on either computer. It seems to be just the amazon website.

I went to AMD's site and got a different driver for my card, I had been using the Windows Update driver, and now it seems to work fine.

Re: Help with ATI Video Card problem with Amazon website

Browsing Amazon on the latest Firefox build is an exercise in patience. It slows anything less than the latest and greatest hardware to a crawl. It's a combination of both vendors getting too big for their own britches and losing sight of their purpose. Amazon's site loads dozens of worthless scripts and Firefox's market share is shrinking everyday.
