I decided on the SG early. But this site did have me looking at the silver version. IMO, it works better with more of the current line up of bands. IMO, the SG only works well with a couple of the current bands. But sure I'll stick w/SG.

Then again, I may just jump straight for the black leather band...
I admit to having dismissed the black leather. I figured it would be too close to the black band that comes with the SG Sport. However, the leather does have a much more refined and finished look. It is good looking. Still think I'd jump over to metal to give a totally (night and day) different look. At least for the 2nd band.

And yea, I'll get the 42mm as well. Since I'm getting this to wear while running, I want to be able to quickly glance at the watch to see readings. Must running watches are bigger for that reason.

I have a half marathon coming up on the weekend of the 3/22..wish I had the watch for that. Guess I'll have to find another race in April...I need to dig out my old heart rate monitor. I know I kept it. It was a chest strap and was fairly accurate. I'd like to compare it to Apple Watch. I realize most wrist based HR monitors are not that accurate. But, hopefully, it will be consistent. Which IMO is more important than being exactly accurate.

Re: Will you be getting iWatch?

Just realized that a compact battery charger pack probably would work ok with the iWatch. I had no idea those chargers were so small.

The difference is you have to remove/stop using the watch to use that. Wherea with iPhone, you can keep using the phone. I see runners do that. Have a small charger plugged in to give their phone a bit of a boost to ensure they make it through a long run like a marathon.

I agree that the black watches have the least amount of good looking matching bands at launch, but black is a lot easier to coordinate with my wardrobe and there will undoubtedly be more first and third party bands that will look great with the black watches, so black is still the way to go for me.

Yup...my thinking exactly. And my two favorite watches to wear now, one is all black (face and band) the other is black and silver.

Re: Will you be getting iWatch?

I have to admit to liking the lime green watch band but that would strictly be for training and working out... Dammit I was going to pass on this fucking thing.

Re: Will you be getting iWatch?

i know it's the iwatch so i'll keep other little updates minimal until we get to that point...

first up -- HBO Now:
"A stand-alone streaming service: HBO Now. Apple is the exclusive partner at launch."

"Coming in early April for $14.99 a month.
All original programming, past, present and future. No cable or satellite subscription. Just broadband connection and Apple device."

First month free....In time for Game of Thrones premiere

Apple TV price dropping to $69

ApplePay, CarPlay, HomeKit, HealthKit, and now on to ... medical research.

'ResearchKit' -- a new initative from Apple to help with medical research.

"A software framework made specifically for medical research. Lets researchers easily make apps. Turns iPhone and HealthKit into powerful diagnostic tools for medical research."

Re: Will you be getting iWatch?

The Research Kit is really fascinating....absolutely useful and impressive. But I wonder how it "sells" with stockholders. Meaning, is there a clear line of sight between it and more stock value? Perhaps it more a branding issue?

Personally, as someone who has changed their health significantly (and often received mixed messages on how to do it), I LOVE this and would participate in a second. My daughter also suffers from UC. I would think an illness that would greatly benefit from this.

Re: Will you be getting iWatch?

New macbook.

"It took reinventing every technology in it," says Phil Schiller. Just two pounds, the lightest Mac ever made. 13mm thin, the thinnest ever.

it's just being called Macbook. No more 'Macbook Air'?

Previous thinnest Mac, 11" MacBook Air was 17.3mm.

Re: Will you be getting iWatch?

Looks like they are getting rid of the "air" unless this is in addition to the Air. Retina display is nice! Plus I really like the gold.

new Macbook battery life -- 9 hours of wireless web, 10 hours of video.

(wait, what? takes more juice surfing than watching videos? )

oh, new "Force Touch trackpad" and fanless.

only one port (USB-C) -- "New power port, one connector has USB, DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA support."

Re: Will you be getting iWatch?

OK, why are we getting a video of all the new Mac features, after he already told us all the new features?
