HELP trying to set up new computer...

HELP trying to set up new computer...

Just bought aa new computer with windows 8 and I am completly lost...

First question.. I didn't realize I needed a microsodt account. Well my email is setup as a mcrosoft acvount on my sons xbox
So can I change that? Can I creata an account for my son on the xbox ? Will that screw up his settings and favorites? Will it screw up the xbox live?.

I am so lost... how do I find my other computer on my network I need to tramsfer some files.

How do I know if my computer is using wifi or ethernet?

Made some progress.. found my computer on the network... now to figure out itunes

Wow, surprised nobody else has replied in this thread.

To answer the first question: You don't need a Microsoft account to create an login on Windows 8. You can create a "local account" that isn't tied to Microsoft online at all.
