Re: Microsoft retiring Technet

That's disappointing to hear. I let my subscription lapse when they reduced the number of program licenses from 10/product to 3/product.

I'm still running evaluating 8 copies of Windows 7 Ultimate at home, along with a large number of Office applications

My Windows Home Server (with corresponding Technet license) is on its third year. I'm still trying to decide if it's worth buying.

Yeah, my sub ends next week. I wasn't sure about renewing but now with these news I will.

Re: Microsoft retiring Technet

Can you still use the licenses after the end of your subscription?

I won't be renewing then. I wasn't sure I was going to renew as it was, but this seals it

Is windows 9 coming out before the end of the subscription? If not, then not worth it to me as I already got several seats of windows 8 for $15 a piece, and several seats of office for $10 a piece

Unlikely. The latest rumors put the Win 9 release date near the end of 2014.
