Using an iPad as a rear seat entertainment system?

Hi all I'm doing some research on using an iPad as a rear seat entertainment system. Can anyone recommend me a kit preferably with a mounting device and Bluetooth and/or IR headphones?

I've watched more than my fair share of "rear seat entertainment" on an iPad.

we use my wife's iPad 2 for the video player for the kids while on long trips. I just have a velco strap and wrap it around the cover flap of the $10 case the iPad lives in. I then run a chord to keep it powered and hook it to a battery operated speaker (mainly so the speaker isnt right in my ear).
I have seen professional kits over on dealmac.com before but i cant remember who makes them

I've hooked ours up with bungee cords wrapped around the headrest and the case.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will be going with a combination of what has been suggested. Anyone have a good recommendation of bluetooth headphones suitable for a 4 year old?

I'm curious, why mount it at all? Why not just get a solid case, and let the child hold it in the carseat with a pair of traditional or child wired headphones?

By mounting it, you take away the key interactive feature of the ipad, and then unless you buy some sort of attachment, you lack a remote to control even a non interactive video. Or are these mounts close enough for the child to reach it without unbuckling the car seat?

I use a shoe lace tied between the two front head rests. I then put the ipad in a folding case on the shoe lace. I hook it up to the car stereo via aux cable and move the sound to the back speakers. It works pretty well IMO. I don’t bother running a power cable to it. I just make sure it is fully charged. The ipad will go for nearly 10 hours on battery.

These Bluetooth headphones should work ok for a kid:

or these:

The problem with the Bluetooth is it will only work for one kid (though not a problem if you only have one kid).

at least two of my kids get car sick if they're looking down for too long, like playing Nintendo DS or something, but they're fine if they're watching a movie while looking forward.

@fujishig, it will be used primarily for watching movies on a long road trip we are planning this summer.

@orangecrush, thanks for the suggestions. And it is only for one kid.
