iTunes downloading movie help?

I am trying to download the digital copy for Dredd, bought legally from Best Buy.

I redeemed my code and I get an error message everytime I try to download and then resume downloading the movie:

1. All downloads and file copies have been paused. The disk you are attempting to use is full. Removing files and emptying the recycling bin will free up additional space.

...i emptied the recycling bin, but don't know what removing files means.

I also think this is a recurring problem for me as the last movie i tried to download said the same thing and i gave up. don't remember which one that was.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like maybe your hard drive is full and there's no room to put Dredd. Can you delete anything from it, or transfer somewhere else?

Yeah not to be insulting but this seems like an easy fix. Your hard drive is full. Open an Explorer window and click 'Computer' on the left, how much space is on you C drive? If it's less than 3 - 4 GB, you won't be able to download an HD movie.

Similar thing happened to a coworker - really smart guy, but computer illiterate. His computer was grinding and he was getting all kinds of disk space error messages. Couldn't even copy/paste excel data. I ask him to open windows explorer and look at his C drive and there literally like 6 kb of data left. I've never seen anything like that!

Open up File Explorer and look through all your folders. Sort by file size. You can also right click each folder and click properties to see the size of all the files in that folder.

Re: iTunes downloading movie help?

I would use a utility call WINDIRSTAT it gives a graphical output showing where the big files are.
