Does anyone have/use an Eye-Fi SD Card?

Based on a recent event which resulted in my gf having to spend a ton of cash on data recovery, I decided to pick her up an eye-fi card for Christmas. Her family isn't local and she visits them pretty often. If she's at their house, I want to make sure that pics are still able to upload automatically, even if it's just to her Picasa. Is the eye-fi card able to connect to multiple networks (ours and the one at her family's house)?

Re: Does anyone have/use an Eye-Fi SD Card?

According to this page, an Eye-Fi card can connect to up to 32 networks.

There's more confirmation of this on this page, where a guy asks if an Eye-Wi card configured for multiple Wi-Fi networks can have its configuration copied to other Eye-Fi cards (so, if Eye-Fi Card #1 is configured for three wireless networks, and the user buys a new card (Eye-Fi Card #2), can the Wi-Fi config be automatically copied to the new card?). The answer to this is no (each card has to be configured manually), but that's not what you were asking.

Thanks. It sounds like it will work if she brought the USB adapter the first time she went to visit and set up their network on the card after having set it up on our own.

Re: Does anyone have/use an Eye-Fi SD Card?

I use one (I posted an earlier thread).

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/tech-talk/6...nyone-use.html

I only use it right now to move pics to my iPhone and iPad on sight. It works well and even if no network around. Pretty pricey, but I love.

Ill take a pic ansd someone will ask for a copy. I can do it instantly. Or post a quick pic to FB but have a high quality image to adjust/print.
