OK, computer issue...

OK, I'm going to take very deep, calming breaths here and count to ten. This is going to be rambling because I'm more than a bit upset. My dad was having difficulty paying his bill on the phone, so he tried to do it online. He somehow changed out Yahoo e-mail password. Our Yahoo email has an @sbcglobal.net suffix. We have used it for years without incident until this fiasco. Now, he apparently changed the password. Fine. We can no longer access our e-mail on our iPhones, tried deleting the accounts. Called AT&T, they say there's a problem with Yahoo's mobile server. OK, fine, granting that's true and they aren't jerking me around to cover their own mistakes, I deleted the accounts and will attempt to add them again tomorrow, when presumably Yahoo's servers will be fixed. Perhaps, by some miraculous cosmic coincidence, Yahoo's mobile servers are messed up at the same time. It won't let us add another account, so I'll try again tomorrow when hopefully their servers would be working. As my Google and YouTube accounts are synchronized to that, YouTube and Google made me change my password. They won't let me change it BACK to what I want it to be, saying that the previous password was too weak. I'd like to have the same password for every fucking thing to make my life easier, but clearly God has other designs for me. Lucky me. So the Google and YouTube password is different now.

Now, can I change the Yahoo password BACK to what it was before without further fucking everything up?

I would strongly recommend changing your Yahoo email password quite often. It's never safe or good sticking with a password you easily know for a long time.

Just train your brain to remember a fresh new password.

I managed to change it to something else. They made me change it to something with a letter and a number, which irritates me, but what can you do? I can't get it reroute my e-mail through my iPhone, the "server is down," I can get to do another yahoo account and this one under a separate account as sbcglobal, but I can't get it to go as a Yahoo one like it used to. I initially thought it was because of the so-called server problems, but I don't think it'll do it all, I don't know if they've changed things around or what. It's irritating .

Re: OK, computer issue...

It's an iPhone 4S. AT&T told me there have been server issues as well. I can access it on my PC and like I said, I can set it up as "other," but I'm frustrated I can't get it to work the way it is supposed to and I want it to. You'd think that with millions of users, Yahoo would've worked out these server problems at some point! Thanks to all, post was babbling, more than a little frustrated. Work retail, holiday week and then I found out about this shit, really not what I wanted to come home from work to.

On and totally unrelated note, how do I get red of the irritating thing with the red X that saves all of my searches in search bars? What is it?

It is Widdit.

Don't be paranoid. Android might be fitter. Happier, even. There are no surprises, you're just lucky to be the tourist. Before you start climbing up the walls, check the airbag and let (yourself) down. Just because Romney tried electioneering and failed, it doesn't mean his exit music has to be depressing; he really is just another subterranean homesick alien.

Karma Police.

It's finally fixed, but everyone except my brother. I've been meaning to set up my own for years, but I've been lazy and most of my stuff is routed through the central one.
