Re: The Apple Thread
I’m guessing you already checked how full your iPad is. Maybe look at how much space your apps are taking? I had my Google app take up something like 3 Gb’s, and I no there’s no reason for that.

Re: The Apple Thread
I've been having some issues on my iPad 2019. The Safari web browser has been locking up on occasion and sometimes loads up super slow. Also, some apps are extremely sluggish and won't load up properly like Fandango. When I first bought this back in Fall 2019, everything moved and processed fast. Now it's so sluggish. I tried to load movie times on Fandango and got an error and then had to clear out other apps in the background, which I never had to do before and then it slowly loaded up the times.
Ay ideas why it's so sluggish?

I had about 50 gigs of storage and went through and deleted some apps that I wasn't using and taking up a lot of space. One racing game that I had on the iPad that I never played took up 4 gigs, so I deleted that. Right now I have about 60 gigs free.

iOS bloats like a motherfucker. It's a ridiculously inefficient platform.
I think it's Apple's way of punishing us for not buying a new device every year with the maximum amount of over-priced storage.

Apparently Apple Air Tags are being used for criminal activity. Some women have discovered tags being slipped into their bags/pockets and they were being tracked by someone.

Now that i've had this MacBook Air M1 for a little while I have to say it's probably the best laptop I've ever used for general use and easily the best I've ever owned.
The battery life is fantastic and everything is silky smooth on it. Apparently it runs God of War on low too because that's necessary

Just got the iPhone 13 Mini. I prefer the smaller phones.
Best Buy sale $100 off. There hasn't been many good iPhone sales lately, unless I want a new line and unlimited data, which I don't. I was price watching for a year!
Replaces my first gen iPhone SE from 2016, which was not eligible for trade-in discount

BB phones come with a plan, don't they? I didn't want one.

12 Mini has been discontinued and SE 2nd gen seems out of stock everywhere (Verizon version) for the past couple of months. Those were my other two options I was researching for the past year.

note that it depends on the promotion they have going on. Certain promotions require specific plans

So, anyone using AirTags? What do you think of them? How well are they working out for you? I was thinking of picking them up for our trip in a few months to stick on our suitcases and whatnot.

I have one other one, but haven't decided what to use it for yet.
You suitcase idea sounds good. If I ever go back to frequent travel, I'd probably try that.

LOL. Apple announcements for Apple TV+ - exclusive MLB games. I guess all we need now is a season to actually start. Which probably won’t happen for a long time.

Re: The Apple Thread
I saw the presentation yesterday. I might be in the market for a new iPad. However, I'm not really crazy about the price difference with the new iPad Air. $599 for 64 GB and $729 for 256 GB. I think I may have asked this before, but do you all think 64 GB is enough for an intermediate user of the iPad? Seems super small.
I like that the iPad Air has more colors and a more advanced chip than the iPad 9th generation that was recently released.
My current iPad is the 7th generation that I bought in 2019 and I can feel it's becoming sluggish.

They probably should have increased the Air's storage to 128GB/512GB, but Apple likes to lowball their storage space on iPhones and iPads.

Games, internet and email. Occasionally using it for photos and video editing. And of course video viewing like Netflix, HBO Max and such.
I wouldn’t buy a $500 to 700 device just to surf the net and read emails. That would be really underutilizing it and a waste of money. I might as well just get an Amazon Fire tablet for $100 if that’s all I used it for.
To answer the other question. It sluggish that some apps take forever to load and the web browser locks up.

Re: The Apple Thread
I always tell friends and family if you use any Apple device and plan to use it for photos and/or editing in any capacity, 64 Gb is never enough. Minimum purchase should always be 128 Gb. 64 shouldn’t even be an option anymore.

I use the Apple one. Got it so I don't have to fumble around at night trying to plug it in if my wife is already asleep. Works well enough but charges a good bit slower than a lightning cable (assuming your charger outputs enough power).
