Re: The Apple Thread

I noticed that you can drag at that point, which is nice. But they should at least add the option to Delete from that sub menu rather than having to click Rearrange, then click the X.

True... would be nice on the menu.

My main beef is adding a click to deleting texts. It just seems like ios updates now have no purpose other than to add bells and whistles that don't innovate at all.

Re: The Apple Thread

Don’t expect any innovation from Apple for a few years. Until then, it’ll just be bells and whistles. At least until their next major hardware change. But updated cameras aren’t enough to greatly change the iOS.

Re: The Apple Thread

I have never owned airpods so I know I'm not exactly the target audience, but from that commercial there still isn't a way to replace the batteries, right? Which means battery degradation and eventual replacement of the entire thing in a few years, just like the current models? I really don't get it.

These tiny things you can't change the batteries. Samsung Galaxy buds you cannot change them either but for the price it's acceptable along with the superb sound and rugged built. I drop them all the time on hard floors and they still sound perfectly. I'm clumsy like that.

You don't get the price? Me either. The price is too excessive. They basically ripped of Samsung Galaxy buds for it's sonic sound and jacked up the price almost doubled.

The Galaxy Buds beat the airpods when it comes to sound and substantial bass there is no denying that. So now the Airpods Pro is the answer to the Galaxy Buds...without a bottle of lube that is not included in the package.

Re: The Apple Thread

Isn't the big selling point that these are noise canceling earbuds? That seems to be the price that known manufacturers charge for that feature. This isn't Anker. By the way, I bought the Anker noise canceling ear buds and they were terribly uncomfortable and didn't cancel much.

Re: The Apple Thread

Is there no way to make the battery percentage show next to the battery icon on the 11? My old 5s I could toggle it on or off. Minor but a weird omission (I know it can be viewed other ways).

There's no battery percentage option in Settings->Battery on the 11? I'm still on the 6s but with the latest iOS (13.2) and the option is there.

Not that Iím finding at least. You drag down from the top where the icon is and it shows a separate screen that displays the percentage. Itís not a huge deal to have to do that but I just donít see why the option canít be there to display it.

Looked it up and on the iPhone X and higher... blame the notch. Only so much space on either side.

I suppose that makes sense. Didnít really consider that. Too bad the number couldnít be displayed on the battery icon itself.

Thanks for that. Another reason for me to cling onto my old Touch ID phone.

I'm still on the 6s because it has a headphone jack and I'm more comfortable with phones that have headphone jacks in them.

That too... but for some reason the headphone jack and my car's aux input aren't compatible. I only get maybe 1/2 volume. Tried different aux cables and my old iPod works fine.

Usually whenever I put in music within my iPhone, it has a USB port. Considering it's a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. So I don't have to worry about putting in an AUX cable in the car. Also for the fact that I have Surius XM.

Re: The Apple Thread

I really like my Series 4. I upgraded from the first one and it's been great. And after reading the specs for the Series 5, I felt no obligation to upgrade.
