iPad DVD catalog app?

Has anyone tried one? I'm willing to spend money on a good system. Collecterz.com is the highest rating in the app store. Any help would be appreciated.

I use DVD Profiler, which has a desktop version that syncs with both the iPad and iPhone.

Question for those with the DVD Profiler app: does it support tags?

But only if you use Windows. The latest DVD Profiler for iOS remains quite unstable.

Thanks everyone. I have a Mac so DVD profiler is not what I'm looking for at this time. Delicous library is not on iPad yet. Maybe I wait for a future release

Do you use Bento on your Mac? If so, you might consider Bento for the iPad. (It's a simple flat-file database... not relational) Bento supports syncing databases between iOS devices and Mac systems.

I have Bento for both. I use them but am a little frustrated that it doesn't offer more functionality. When I was on Windows, I was able to do some pretty nifty things with the simple Database module in MS Works. If you are familiar with that, then you have an idea of what Bento can do.

Re: iPad DVD catalog app?

I just downloaded the Video Games app by Sort It! the other day. I'm enjoying it. They have separarte movie/book/comic/etc. versions. I was really impressed with the Bulk Scan option. Reviews seem to indicate it's by the same guy that did the Collectorz apps.

There are a ton of filtering options. You can rate everything. It also has a date/purchased and price field.

Anyway, the iPhone/Touch version was free the other day. Even if you aren't a gamer, you could still download it and check it out since the other apps are bound to be fairly similar.

Here's one that looks promising: http://www.maddysoft.com/iphone/mystuff/
Highly configurable.

Re: iPad DVD catalog app?

Does any of these have an option where you just scan the barcode to catalog the title or check if you have it?

Both Delicious Monster (Delicious Library) and Bruji (DVDPedia - PocketPedia) had to pull their iPhone apps, due to objections from Amazon on anyone using their APIs on an iPhone app.

In their latest DVDPedia version 5.0, Bruji has pulled Amazon support by creating their own DB -- the purpose being ability to create iOS apps without Amazon interference. So iPad DVD cataloging is coming from them in the future. Don't know if Delicious Monster has similar plans.

Right now RedLaser offers bar code scanning with some rudimentary DVD cataloging in their latest version on the iPhone. Their bar code scanning at any rate is superb, and their price comparison engine quite nice.

I understand that "MyMovies DB Viewer" will sync with DVDProfiler for those with android OS. I have not tried it, but guys on the forum say it works well.

Profiler does that, but I have never found the iOS version on iPad and iPhone to be unstable even a little bit. Works perfect every time.
