Question about case fans

I have four of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999199

On full 12v they move too much air for my likes. Is there a way to tell what the minimum volts are that would still power them? I have tried them on a 9v adapter and it is still a tad too powerful....

Re: Question about case fans

I think trial and error is the only way to really tell, but most will work (meaning they will at least spin) @5v.

Re: Question about case fans

When you power on your system and it sounds like an Osprey taking off, you're moving enough air.
