Virgin Broadband Pay as you Go...questions

I have been looking at maybe getting this service, but not sure how good it is. I was told that the data cap is 2GB, however when you exceed this you don't get charged, simply the download speed reduces significantly. Can anyone give me an idea of how fast it is before and after the 2GB cap.

Also i am in Puerto Rico, so wireless signals can be weak. Anyone else experienced this service at its best and worst. Just interested to hear any feedback on the service and if its worth going with.

Any advice is appreciated.

the cell service?

if you hardly call people it's OK. otherwise no unlimited mobile to mobile minutes and no night weekend minutes. and old phones which is why they have unlimited data

and no roaming. if you lose a sprint signal, you can't roam on verizon

No, he's referring to Broadband2Go, VM's mobile broadband service:

The limit for 3G speeds on their unlimited data plan is now 2.5GB, but once you exceed that, VM says speed drop to 256kbps or lower for the remainder of the month.

As al_bundy mentioned, VM uses exclusively the Sprint network, with no roaming. You can check data coverage on the map here:

I'm actually thinking about getting this to use with the Kindle Fire. I don't have access to wifi, and 50 bucks a month for unlimited data sounds pretty good.

I can't speak to the Broadband MiFi, but I regularly tether my wifi gadgets to my LG Optimus V on the VirginMobile service... runs surprisingly well... no additional cost.

Well i also use my Optimus V to surf the net, but for downloading i get a weak signal. I needed something that was faster and more stable.
