Can you transfer app data?

Can you transfer app data from one iphone to another iphone?

Long story short, I've spent more hours than I care to admit playing this stupid dice game on my iphone 4. When I get my iphone 5 (whenever that will be) I would like to just continue playing my game where I left off rather than starting over from scratch. Is that possible?

I know I can get my emails and music and all my apps and stuff onto the new phone just by syncing up with itunes, but everytime I've done that in the past all my progress was lost. My Doodle Jump scores were lost, my Angry Birds levels were lost, etc. Is there anyway to get my saved games and whatnot onto the new phone? Thanks.

You can, you need to do a sync/backup of the old phone and then restore from that backup to the new phone. I don't know why you had problems in the past, unless you are not getting a good backup. You can test this now by doing a backup and then a restore of your current phone. All apps and data should come back right where you left off. This support article shows the step by steps.

Cool. Thanks. I'll check that out. By the way, does it matter that I have a PC and not a Mac?

Doesn't matter.
