Customize New Tabs in Chrome?

Hi All,

I've made the switch to Chrome as I wasn't completely satisfied with FF4 - still getting used to Chrome but so far so good and noticeable speed benefits (unfortunately no foxclocks extension which was my fav add-on!)

When I click CTRL+T it opens up a new tab. There is a new tab page which shows frequently visited sites, apps, recently closed, and bookmarks. I'd like to edit this page - possibly put more links to the recently closed pages, make the bookmarks bar look the same as the recently closed pages instead of just a bar, etc...

I've been searching for extensions but all the new tab extensions I've seen don't allow for this to happen.

Any suggestions appreciated thanks

Great extension tip - thanks - however there are no tab options to edit the new tab... any other suggestions?

Did you look at these World Clock extensions?

This "new tab" page is alsocalled the Start Page, so you might have better luck searching for extensions with that term.

However, this extension may work for what you want:

Incredible Start Page is popular:

This one allows you to write custom CSS to design the page the way you want:

Re: Customize New Tabs in Chrome?

Thank you all for the tips!

I tried those start page extensions - still not what I'm looking for...just would want something I can easily remove / edit the recently closed & most visited tabs. No big deal...but thought there would be more extensions out there to edit it. Incredible Start Page was good, but customization of what it actually displayed is a bit low. I ended up getting rid of it.

Also thanks for the clock extension tips - I tried all of them but ended up sticking with World Clocks 0.4 as it's minimalist. I just like fox clocks as it continually displays the timezones I want in the lower right hand corner.... something which doesn't exist on Chrome i guess!
