These are the thing that I want to get.

1. AMD Thunderbird 850
2. Circular Fan and Heatsink
3. Mid Tower Case with cabinate mount fan
4. PC Slot System cooling fan(do I really need this)
5. 40 GB Hard Drive
6. GForce 32MB Video Card
7. Sound Blaster Live Value Edition
8. Asus Motherboard A7V133
9. 128 MB 133 Micron SDRAM

I already have a CD-Rom, CD-Burner, Modem, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse. I will be using this for primarily games and for basic wordprocessing and internet applications. Any help would be much appreciated.

make sure you have a 300 watt amd approved power supply. you really need the extra fans since thunderbirds run hot.

I assume you have an operating system and cables

Make sure you have a floppy drive. Also, speakers would be nice with the sound card.

Add a DVD-ROM drive to your list, or you wont be able to watch any of your DVD titles

The best remedy I have found when I can't get it to work is to go to bed. So many times I have woken up and been able to fix the trouble spot easily.

I have found that alcohol helps if that doesn't work (keeps you from going nuts).
