i bought a 128mb non ecc memory chip a couple of days ago and since i put it in ive noticed that every so often my system hangs up. i already had a 128mb chip in the system but wasnt sure if it was ecc or non ecc. two questions 1. can you have one chip ecc and another non ecc. 2. how can i find out if it is in fact the memory causing my system to hang? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Checkout http://www.simmtester.com/ and download DocMemory. Next best thing to a hardware tester and it's free. It helped me pinpoint a system issue to a RAM gone bad.

If the memory turns out good, make sure your BIOS settings are good. Btw, you aren't overcloclocking are you?
