Under Win2000, you can click on the toolbar to minimize a program as well as to switch between progams. Is there any way to get this effect under NT4?

Right click the task on the taskbar. Minimize is a choice.

Was that the question?

Close, but not exactly... doing that, you still have to select "minimize" after the right click. Under 2000 you just click the individual apps and they minimize. So, if you've got a dozen windows and only want half to be up, you can just move across the task bar and drop the ones you don't need at the moment... this is quicker and easier than having to minimize the windows using the _ one at a time or right clicking and selecting minimize. Is that more clear?

Works for me. I think it started with the desktop update that came with IE 4.0?

Hum, I just checked one of the machines and it's running IE 5.5. Any other ideas?

It wasn't included with 5 or 5.5. Here is how to install it:

I printed off the instructions, but I haven't had time to try it yet. I probably would have, but the instructions say I need to uninstall IE first for some reason.

Yeah, it's real screwy like that. You can't just add the update to version 5. You have to uninstall 5, install 4 with the desktop update, and then reinstall 5.

I wanted to let you know that I finally got this done. Thanks again for the link to the instructions!
