newb question about multiple bowsers???

newb question about multiple bowsers???

does it hurt your computers performance if you have multiple or use browsers in your computer at all?...lets say, if you have google chrome, firefox, internet explorer, opera browser installed in your computer. does it hurt the speed of your browser or other browsers or mess up you computer in anyway?

If you have all of them running at the same time then you're bound to hit a few performance-related issues, but otherwise it's not a problem. I have three of those four installed and I never hit problems.

I have IE, Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari installed for various reasons, I've seen no performance dip.

for work i have IE 6/7/8, FF 3/3.6, Chrome 3/4, and Safari 3. all ok.

now, the use of browsers themselves could give you problems as they are the gateway to the internets and if you're not careful with security and browsing habits you may catch a virus or other sickness.
