It's in the Real player streaming format, which I can't figure out how to save. Is it possible to save? Here's the link: http://ramhurl.real.com/smildemohurl...lotr/index.smi

I'm pretty sure you can't save it. That's probably why there isn't a quicktime version.

Can you believe that they set it up that way? You'd think they'd like people to be able to watch it off thier hard drive whenever they wanted. Now those of us on 56k are forced to watch a really crappy version.

There was someone who took the trailer they played on Extra! (I think that was the show anyhow) and converted it to a few different formats and put it here:

Unfortunately, it looks like the link isn't working now. I'll post if I find a mirror somewhere.

The quality isn't quite as nice as the Real Video (on dsl) but it's pretty good. A lot better than the tiny one that was taken on video straight from the theater.

www.movie-list.com has both an "Official" quicktime release (I have a suspicion it was created from the Real Video version, since the quality is crap), as well as an .mpg version recorded from Extra! (quality is good but there is some music in the background you can hear that is kind of annoying)
