Hi All,

I'm thinking of replacing my CD-ROM drive with a DVD-ROM. I have my eye on a Toshiba, but was wondering if I'd need to purchase anything else to play the movies - I have an ELSA Gladiac GeForce2 32Meg running on a P3-700 system. A Hollywood Decoder Card comes to mind but I'm not sure where I'm remembering that from.... Thanks in advance for replies.

You do not need a hardware card to do DVD decoding with your fast CPU. If you need to go out to a TV, your Elsa card now has the s-video in/out module available for ~$35.

No need for a decoder card. Toshiba is making the best DVD-Roms, you can't go wrong!
