I wasn't going to upgrade my Pixel XL, but my wife bought me the Pixel 2 XL for Christmas and only spilled the beans early because she was talking to my friend about the screen issues and wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it or not.

I ended up keeping it, but the "natural" screen mode seems weird to me after a year of seeing more saturated colors. The latest Android update adds a saturated color mode, but trying to get used to Natural or Boosted. The blue tint stuff is also weird and slightly annoying. Honestly, between the two Pixels I don't really see it as worth the upgrade.
