You have the Cambridge DTT3500? You can use Dolby Digital 5.1 (if you have a SB Live with digital output)

not hiss, but just louder, don't know whether it is suppose to be like that.

oops, sorry If i did not make myself clear.

The DVD I am refering to is 4.1 surround(not DD4.1). So if I select spdif from powerdvd, the rear speakers are very soft. They are louder if I use 4 speaker(also select from powerdvd).

After reading this article :

Prologic (Dolby Prologic)

This refers to a method of sound recording and reproduction developed by Dolby Labs to provide full surround sound. This is an active format that encodes the signals for the five or six speakers on two channels and decodes them during playback. Unlike regular surround sound the active matrix of Prologic provides a wider feel to the surround sound field. Features include:

High separation active matrix for enhanced directionality
Four output channels: left, center, right and surround
Automatic input balance control
Test noise sequencer for all modes
Surround channel time delay adjustable from 15 to 30 milliseconds
Center Channel control (Normal, Phantom, Wide)

I am kinda confuse.

1:If I select 4 speakers, does that mean it is analog?

2:Shall I enable prologic? I don't know if I should ask this silly question but I just wonder why prologic make my speaker noisy(especially center).

3: Thanks for you time.
