Re: Gps

i don't have the 765T model myself, but i know that one includes lifetime traffic.

Amazon was selling it for $10...but i guess you missed out on that.

Re: Gps

I was considering buying one since they are heavily advertised but I figure the prices will only go down. But I still dont know I want a thing giving me directions. it might be something I would play with for awhile and then never use again.

Re: Gps

This Garmin - nüvi 765T GPS is on sale at bestbuy.com for like 200 bux, and is regularly priced at 450. Seems like a good deal

Edit: Its out of stock online, and all the stores around me are out too. Maybe it will be back instock after christmas with the sale.

It seems like they are pushing GPS's really hard this Christmas. Is there some new technology coming out so they want to unload all of there older models?

Re: Gps

The 765 is from the outgoing model year. The new model year of Garmins have four-digit model numbers, all starting with 1.

Re: Gps

garmin comes out with new models like every year. might as well wait and get last year's model at a discount, unless there is some new uber special feature that comes on the new one that you must have.

The discounts you're seeing now are last year's model. Garmin's new models are just now rolling out. If you wait, you're going to be waiting a year.

Re: Gps

Costco has a Garmin 265T for $130. It includes traffic also.

What it doesn't have (that the 765 has) is multi-destination routing which does 2 main things: determine a single route through multiple destination points you give it, and receive and store routes that you set up on sites like mapquest.
