I had been using Redhat 6.1, and am now dling version 7. Would you recommend any of the other "types" of Linux over Redhat?

I've tried Redhat, FreeBSD and Mandrake. In those 3, the easiest one to use by far is Mandrake. It's also the one that looks the most like Windows for functionnality.

I still stick with Mandrake... I installed it on my brother's pc for kicks and the thing installed itself and I think it's now doing my homework for me, I'd need to check. The thing is so simple even your average caller to a help line could install it!

I have some hard core Linux friends, who administer Linux servers, workstations, and networks, and Mandrake is the preferred flavor.

I have Linux Mandrake 7.0 complete, but have been "putting off" installing it and trying it out.
I see 7.2 has been released. Should I get that instead?
Also, how should I partition the OS? How is yours partitioned?
