What site maintains the urban legend virus stuff?
I just got this and am 99% sure its bogus but given that cinemasource.com is an alleged source thought it might warrnet a question.

Hi Everyone,
Received a call from Debi...she may have received a virus that attaches
itself to all mail in the inbox and address book. This virus...has crashed a
company and its corporate offices in New York City. No
joke............................................DO NOT OPEN ANYTHING THAT HAS
ERINKURKUL.CINEMASOURCE.COM...or anything containing CINEMASOURCE.COM as part of
the address. It sends itself out again using "your" address book and then it
crashes your system. Her cousin who works for Cinema Source unknowingly
forwarded this virus. Of course ...she now wonders if she still has a job. It
may also show up as "A WISH FOR YOU" WITH THE NAME OF SOMEONE YOU KNOW....I've
scanned all my files and it's not on my computer...so I don't think you'll find
it on yours. But I decided better safe than sorry...If you should see the above
addresses...Do Not Open...Delete...then go to deleted files and delete again.
This is info from Cinema Source. Hope you are having a peaceful day.

If I want to check on the validity of a virus, I use Symantec's AntiVirus Center.

Moving to DVDRom and Computer forum.

the Spy Trojan is probally the Spyware, not really a virus but in a lot of ways it is. Radiate Aurate what ever, most Free ware apps that use the Ad banners have this Spy Ware incoded in it that Monitors your internet activity and sends the information to them over the internet, which is an invasion of Privacy (see www.grc.com for more info)
i also like www.sarc.com (same as blade posted with differnent domain name ) Any way, usually if the message comes in email, forwared from 20 times with the Statment this is incurable, Very Dangours, And Specifiy with the Words PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO EVERY ONE YOU KNOW! It's a hoax.

A few months back Some one in my company got one of these Forward this message to every body and Microsoft will pay you money things, The mail was 2 meg and he sent it globally about 10 times. Crashed the Mail server for a Week.

Also use common sence, if you recive a suspious attachment scan it before opening it, and for gods sake if you start reciveing 10 messages with the same title from a bunch of people in your company you don't know, its a virus don't open the attachment [/rant]
