P55 mobo recommendation?

REQUIREMENT: Must not have a Foxconn "burn and die" socket.

Yes, I understand the problems were with overclocked boards but I can't believe no/poor contact of some pins is a good thing... overclocking or not.

So... is anyone making any "guaranteed no foxconn" boards?

Re: P55 mobo recommendation?

I am also looking for a P55 motherboard.
Do any of them have a parallel port (for my old printer)?

Here is an article on the issue at anand

Looks like EVGA and possibly some DFI and MSI boards are good to go

i am not sure how you would confirm buying online though

I was hoping someone would come out with a modified model number to identify LOTES socket boards. Not much hope of that I suppose.

It looked to me like i5/P55 was the best bang for the buck ugrade option but maybe not if you have to buy a premium quality mobo to ensure you don't get a POS. Hell, I don't even want to overclock but I'm not going to roll the dice and take a chance on getting a board with known issues.
