I'm getting a mouse for my computer tomarrow. I was wondering what the best ones are for games? I'm leaning towards the logitech optical or a trackball. any ideas? I hear the Intellieye and Explorer aren't that great.

Personally I like trackballs better than a mouse. I just feel a lot more control with it and you don't have to worry whether you'll go off the end of the pad/table. I use the Logitech Trackman Marble Wheel.

Plus with first person shooters you're aim is better IMO. Especially Soldier of Fortune since you can shoot people in their extremities and injure them in different places.

So in short I couldn't recommend Logitech Trackmans enough if you want a trackball.

Good Hunting

I own a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer and let me tell you... this mouse is amazing! I've been using it for almost 1 and a half years and still no problems. It's percise and really smooth and it just looks sweet at night. I espessially love lying back on my chair and using my leg as a mousepad. And yes, I am an avid gamer. Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Diablo II, System Shock II, Rainbow Six Series, and much more are what I've been playing forever.

Get the Microsfot Intellimouse Explorer. You won't regret it.

I'd get a logitech cordless only, less pricey and seems great! I play a lot of Unreal Tournament - Tactical Ops and I have an old mouse with a cord and I find i'm lacking control when it comes to swift moving.

I have an intellimouse Explorer and I like it except Quake doesn't. But a lot of people say that the RazorBoomslang is the best gaming mouse. I personally don't like it because I think it's actually to sensitive, but it is a pretty sweet mouse. Also it is kind of a weird shape so it doesn't fit everyones hands.
