i have PII-233MMX , 64Mb ram SB16 -Creative PnP and last week bought Samsung Combo CDR/DVD drive - It came with Power DVD 2.55
and when I play some movie the picture is great but the sound is with really bad disortion !!!!
I tried this:
1-Found last Sb16 drivers from Creative
2-My Os is Windows ME
3-ripped part of the movie to the H.D.
and when I tryed to rip out of the VOB the sound with AC2wav or with GraphEdit
Ac2wav responded with error can't open sound device (**** !!! ) and graphedit did the file but it sounds exactly like in PowerDVD - I am waiting for your advice guys

Looking at the system requirements for PowerDVD 2.55

I would say you don't have a fast enough machine or a supported operating system.

This is just a start

I almost certain that it is Win Me doing it. I have run into similar problems with ME and more than just Creative Soundcards. I went back to 98SE on every occation and the problem went away.
