Easy help request--make pics into a collage

How do I/what program is easiest to put several photos together and be able to save the as one large photo? I want to use a bunch of pics of my kids as a desktop background instead of just one pic.

Thanks,

~Steve

What's wrong with Photoshop?

IrfanView has a "panorama image" feature that I've used several times for this very thing.

Build a set of horizontal panorama images, them stack those panoramas vertically.

Not hard at all once you've figured out exactly what you want the finished product to look like.

Use Picasa 3 .. It is free and lets you make collages easily. So easy, even a cave man could do it.

Down load here

Gimp - & it's free. It's here, similar to Photoshop.

Re: Easy help request--make pics into a collage

OK, I'm retarded, but before I posted this thread, I tried using Gimp & Picassa 3. Here's my problem...I open a new project, then resize it to fit my widescreen monitor (1920x1080 or something). Then I drag pics into it, but they dwarf the project window & I can't grab the corners & shrink them down, what am I doing wrong?

Picasa is pretty much idiot proof. Gimp on the other hand is complicated for a beginner as it is an image editor (like photoshop).

I suggest trying Picasa again.
Add the location of your pictures to picasa (Under File --> Add folder to Picasa)
Once its done, go to Create --> Picture collage

Play around with the windows that comes up.
