The question is:
What dimention of sreen will be the best for record VOB to Avi Divx?

Well, it's up to you, really.
The idea is that if you leave rather large dimensions, the quality will become poorer, because the same amount of data will be used to encode a larger image.

Right now I am encoding 4:3 clips at 576x432 and it looks pretty good at 2100 kbps.
