symptom(s) of an insufficient power supply?

I have a PC that I put together about 5 years ago. Every now and then, it will decide to up and restart out of the blue. You don't even have to be doing anything particularly resource-intensive on it, it just stops and reboots. Could this be caused by an insufficient power supply? I'm probably going to upgrade several components next month but I wanted to see if that could be a possible explanation for the problem.

I had a similar problem, but mine was caused by a power cord that wasn't making proper contact.

What is the watt rating for your PS?
