USB thumb drive assigned drive letter but no space on it
Just got this thumb drive, was transferring a 300mb file on it, not doing anything else, when it stopped transferring and a message popped up saying that I needed to insert a disk into the drive letter that was assigned to my thumb drive. Now, I can still put it into any computer and it will assigned a drive letter, but it says there is no space on it at all.
Any ideas?:( note: I made it a liveusb for Ubuntu, then formatted it and decided to go with a cd instead. |
Have you tried formatting it? Some thumb drives are split now for Vista to be seen as two drives. I would format, and try another USB port as a first step.

What about in Disk Management? Can you change the drive letter for the device and maybe format from there?
