Anyone else's computer act up when receiving a call on their cell?

If my cell phone is too close to my pc and I receive a call, it'll make clicking noises unil I pick it up. Today, it actuallu restarted when I received a call. Why does this happen?

This happens when I have my Blackberry or iPhone nearby and data is being transmitted. Never happened when getting a call and never had the computer shut down either.

Yes, it happens to me, too, as well as my car radio. It depends on the proximity of the phone to the computer / radio. If it has any adverse effects, I'm not aware of them.

I'm not really handy with the electrical stuff, but I assume that it's because your equipment isn't shielded well enough and the signal from your cell phone is causing the pops. I hadn't heard of an entire computer shutting down though.

It has to do with being on a GSM network (TMobile and AT&T in the US). Most everywhere in the world uses GSM heavily over CDMA except here (Verizon, Sprint, Nextel). I think it's just the sound of it transmitting, or whatnot.

That's about all the fancy talk I have on the subject.

Not quite the same, but....nearly every single morning at work when I plug my Sirius into the dock, my computer comes up with a USB error and the computer blue-screens. I can't figure why this would happen but I'd say it happens 98% of the time, and ONLY when I power up the the radio...

When my cell phone is close to my computer I get occasional sounds from my speakers that sound like morse code.

Was trying to look up some posts I made about computers, found this thread. Wow, I totally remember this. This was a thing that happened!

No, but when I turn on my HP wifi printer it kills my router for a couple of minutes.

Which is weird because I don’t even use the wifi, just a USB connection.
